I want to start a plumbing business someday, give ownership to someone else and get a cut from the company for using my Master's license.

I'm a Journeyman. Just a few more years to be a Master.

I don't want to deal with the administration of running a company.

 

Congrats on that man, I got a few buddies who are journeymen. No easy task in that field with grinding it out. Would that mean you might have little interest in fulfilling a role as something like a super?

Superintendent. Granted you might need to have some familiarity with some of the other disciplines before taking on that role.

Depending on who you ask, that can be the start of the easy life. Except they can get some intense hours since they need to be there for oversight whenever the guys are out.

 

Normally a 'job offer' is an offer to be working for someone else.

Seems to me what you describe is a 'business opportunity' to be self employed.

I've had friends (and my wife) that came back from lunch and got laid off because "we can't afford to pay you anymore" wasn't fired for doing a bad job, just wasn't needed anymore, wasn't a temp job either. kinda shitty in my book, I would expect the same 2 weeks courtesy from employers that good employees give to them. but alas its a courtesy not a rule.

 

Maybe, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and only 1kv? Most of my experience with those voltages has been 3.3kv or 6.6kv, but I guess I could step it down a notch. Can't imagine the cooling tower would be any more complicated than what I usually have to deal with. What's the pay and vacation?

Well I've got 2 work days left and I officially start at my new place I've been trying to get everything set up and it's a total disaster bc I'm only working on it from 3:30 until 5 after work!!
