Yep, that part was the hardest for me too. Thought for sure I was going to tear the cover..

I've only had them in for a week, so I'm not sure about long term. But they look very nice and I don't regret my decision one bit even with the difficulties I had installing them. I'm anal with the interior, so I actually have small foam seat covers on top of the new Clazzio's as you can see in my pic of the passenger seat.

I live in Phoenix, so I was able to lay them out in the sun to get them warmed up as others suggested. This should allow the new material to stretch a little easier. Since these covers are black, they were actually too hot to touch after being in the sun for a while.

For tips, I would Youtube the Clazzio install videos - they were helpful. The Clazzio installer did his work with little effort and quickly - keep in mind he has performed hundreds of installs and you will not be as efficient as he is, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard to make it look real nice and tight. I didn't have any help, so if you can get a second set of hands to help you, this should make the install easier than only having 1 person (like I only had).

The hardest part was stretching the holes over the headrest mounts and the middle seatbelt clip in the rear (this one was a huge problem for me, but not due to the Clazzio cover itself - I had a bad clip that wouldn't stay on with the excess Clazzio cover material tucked under it). After getting a couple of the headrest holes on, the rest were easy as you develop a system. Just remember to work in a continuous circle (either clockwise or counter-clockwise is fine) while pushing the material with your hands to give yourself some material slack to get over the headrest mounts. You will get some tearing (1mm or so) but this according to Clazzio is normal and will be hidden under the headrest mount once installed. For the headrest mounts that have a tab that you depress, remember to start with that end first and depress the tab as you get the new material under the mount. I made a mistake on my first headrest mount and I started on the non-tab side first and couldn't figure out why I was having difficulties with stretching the material over the other end of the mount before I realized the tab sticks out and made the area larger for the material to stretch over. For the headrest mounts that are more rectangle than square, I started getting the material under a longer side first, and then stretched the material over the shorter side - not sure if this made it easier, but I didn't tear the material as much doing it this way.

I did all the headrest covers (5) at once. Don't be afraid to compress the headrests with your hands to get the new covers over them. The foam/fabric will compress and get back to their original shape once the Clazzio cover is over them.

I'm sure others may have some other tips that I didn't list here.

One more thing to add - stretch out the holes with your fingers in a circular pattern for a bit before you attempt to get them over the headrest mounts or rear seatbelt clip. This should made them easier to stretch and tear less as you are working getting them over the headrest mounts and rear seatbelt clip. I also found that I didn't need the supplied tool with the headrest mounts (my fingers alone worked better) but it the tool was helpful to get the material tucked under the rear seatblet clip.

I would suggest leaving seat covers in the sun while your installing them. The heating of the seat covers allows for more flexibility of the seat covers.

Anyone do a coyote brown type of seat cover? Always loved the BMW cinnamon seats - perfect interior color IMO. Looking for something like that

Did you see post #2355 on page 118? I believe those brown ones installed are a newer-ish color. I'm not sure if there are any other shades of brown.. I only know of that one, but I could be wrong.

Depends. You can go.. all black with orange stitch? It's just subtle enough to tie in some orange. I have a few of those pre ordered.. be here in a few weeks. Also, black body, dark gray insert, orange stitch.. and if you really want to go big.. Black body, ORANGE insert, Orange stitch.

And if you want, just PM me your address and I'll send you some orange samples of leather so you can see it in person.

Anyone have BGO? Black, gray insert, orange stitching? Been in touch with Clazzio about some pictures and figured I'd see if anyone has anything similar in the thread.

Well, I posted these in the what I did to my 3rd gen thread.. but thanks @Clazzio ! The seat's and embroidery look amazing! (Black/Blue/Blue) Finally got a chance to install them, even though I got them about almost 2 weeks ago. (and I did forward them to the photo email as requested in my email confirmation for your picture database, if you want.)

Nice work on the install, looks factory tight  I wonder how long did it take for you to get your custom order. I ordered my Black with White inserts on May 1 and it still says "production" the wait is :annoyed:
