I have a couple years on a 35qt pelican and while it is heavy, it seems nearly bomb proof. It also holds ice for a long long time.

I went with a 105 QT YETI Tundra from their early days, at the time there were not many competitors in the roto mold market. Very happy with the size and quality.

I have 2-3 years on my Pelican 35 as well. It lives in the bed of my truck. I have a 1/3 sheet pan in it too for sammiches, and such.

The newest Pelicans are not even roto molded anymore! They are lighter and even more impact resistant due to their new plastic. Also made in USA with stainless steel hinges (not aluminum) and a Lifetime warranty. REI has them on sale now for 20% off!!

I ordered an Igloo Sportsman 70 qt. today. I have heard lots of positives about the cooler along with a few negatives. I hope that it turns out to be a great cooler for icing down the fish. We'll see.

Don't count Cabelas out. I picked up a 60qt. Cabela's Polar Cap Equalizer Cooler a few months ago. They reviewed as well, if not better, than the more well known brands. I got 10% off, free shipping, free cooler cart, and paid for the remainder with my Cabela's Club Visa bucks.

I've got a 45 qt yeti. Gets pretty heavy when it's full.. couldn't imagine lugging around a full 65.

You do of course realize that Yeti is a copy cat of the original Pelican. So you spent a lot for a copy cat!

there was also Icey tek. we used a few commercial fishing from back in the day and theyre still going strong. sat in direct salty sunlight for years, being used as seats, beds, stools, cutting boards, etc and still going strong. I'd still say theyre probably the best out there. no rust, no hinge problems, no questions asked. if I could afford a roto cooler, I'd go with one of those. our sister research program uses them offshore too and have been for many years. if idiot volunteers cant screw up a cooler, someone who cares about their purchase sure wont.

I have a grizzly 40qt and my buddy has a pelican about the same size both are better then the old school coolers. But I'd say the pelican works better. Based on the camp trips that we've been on with both coolers.

I run an RTIC 45. Holds over a single guy for an entire weekend, holds ice plenty fine for my needs, costs half what a yeti does.

Delivery times vary from what I hear, but mine shipped in 3 MINUTES from purchase to tracking number email, so that was a +1 for me.

Recently got a CAT cooler, it's actually a taiga brand cooler made in Texas, they licensed the name for this color/series.
-- it's injection molded not roto molded so the plastic is a little bit higher density. I think they all hold ice about the same, I like that I can cable it down and still open it up. Overall very happy.

45 qt Orion. Got it on TW group buy Does the same job in terms of ice retention as the rest, especially when pre-chilled. Cam latches are great as well as built in bottle openers. Looks like it would fit under a cover, but when Camping I have the cap on so I can't remember what others have said about that. Went with the 45 vs 65 due to weight. Loaded I can lift/move this one alone. No way with a 65. I've been super happy with it. Plus with all the different color options, it looks cool. :D

    Monoprice 25L cooler. $99 shipped.

Starting an ice challenge today, have 7 beers in there (6 Leinenkugel summer shandys and 1 Corona). I think the ice will last longer than the beer will!

    That's 14lbs of ice btw.
