Whats so funny about it? I got tears of joy when leaving. No more sand getting all in everything from my body to my truck.

I had the same problem. Just start using your parking brake every time you park. They self adjust when you use it. I had to set and release it 8-10 times a day for 5 days (cause I was lazy). Now I got a firm pedal and parking brake.

From the pic it looks like the front bracket is hitting the bedliner and pushing out. The back one sits in the notch and fits perfectly. From the other pic, they also fit great when mounted on the front rails. Not sure why Toyota designed the truck that way, but there is a serious slant to the bedliner in certain areas. Only the cutouts for wood slats are nice and flush.
You could try grinding the bottom stand off on the brackets to get them flush. Or maybe just put them in a vise and straighten out the bottom bend so it's no longer a right angle. That way, you could always rebend them if you want them somewhere else.

Also, I'd put a heavy coat of plasti-dip in the contact areas to keep the metal from eating into the composite bed material.

I like having the USB plug added to that side of the Dash. I pulled Power from the 4wd fuse. It's only hot when the key is on. The short lighting cord works fine, and use it everyday.

Nice! Hey JD, which fuse is that? I tap off the rear light circuit for my stuff, but the unused 4x4 circuit would be better.

Honest opinion is that they are a bit smoother on the road. Less jarring over potholes and expansion joints on the highway. I haven't been Off-road yet, but can only assume it will be better there also. Will know this weekend.

Yea I went to putting a USB on the left side because of conveniences. I use to have it running from the usb in the center console but the other day it got stuck in my steering wheel and I had to break it or else I was going to run into a wall.
