Huh. I wonder if that falls under the historic zoning rules. If it does that at least they can't bulldoze it and put a house there.

the contact listed is a person on the Council - the only way to get to the island is by the barge. Doubtful anyone would try to develop such a property...

Didn't make Eagle. Got to Life in late 2004, turned 18 in Feb 2005. Track, working, school, girls, and Scouting were a lot to juggle!
    OA: Brotherhood

Started in Scouting at Cub, maybe Tiger, can't remember and neither can my parents haha! I just know it was the best 10+ years of my life!
Never made it to Philmont or any jambo's, but went to summer camp every year I was in. Held several troop positions as well. Even went to Wilderness Rangers camp!

Carried on to our Venture Crew, not exactly done by the book as the scout master was making the B.S. troop his priority (we all wanted that). Probably one of the most active troops of anyone I've ever talked to about Scouting.

    Troop 112, Ashland, KY

Earned my Eagle in 1979, Troop 14 in Smithsburg, Maryland. Have a small flag and signed certificate from President Carter; one of the dads of a guys in the Troop worked up at Camp David on staff.
OA Ordeal member of Guneutischick Lodge 317. I still have a boatload of patches somewhere with council strips and OA Flaps that I collected, mostly at National Jamboree 1977.

Nice, my troop kept trying to get a crew together to send to one of the camps, I ended up going solo to sea base. Was still a blast.

I'm in your boat. Didnt make Eagle but made it to Life in 1988, but then the opportunity to go fight forest fires came up when I was sixteen and I started doing that during my summers which took over. I wish I had the time back then, in retrospect I made the right choice but I still wish I had made it.

Earned in 2012. Littleton CO troop 556. Never made it to Philmont though several of my leaders always talked it up. Sounds pretty awesome. I had to redo my write up 5 or 6 times because the guy who was approving it was a stickler.

    Edit: also passed boob test.
