    Evening mates,

I've got a 2013 tacoma that I'm looking to out a lift kit and new tires on. Is there anyone who have any advice regarding reputable shops in the New Hampshire / Northern Mass area?

Also, if anyone is familiar with it, I'd gladly take some advice as to what brands to look at. I don't really offroad, it's purely an estetic thing as a parting gift with the military.

    Thanks for your time

If you'd be willing to go as far as Southern ME, these guys do great work. Archie and Julie are great people to deal with, and their techs know what they're doing.

I won't be much help on recommending a shop since my buddy and I did it at his uncle's garage, but I can definitely chime in on what parts to get!

Generally the consensus here is suspension lift > spacer lift. There are a large number of reasons for this that I won't go into unless you really want a spacer lift. Bilstein 5100s with OME coils are what I went with, but these are definitely rougher than the stock coils. If you're looking for a smooth lifted ride there are definitely options like the Nitro SmoothRide(?).

If you're planning on doing any other upgrades on the truck, like bumpers, sliders, skids or a bed cage, you'll want to take the added weight into account. All these things add weight, which will sink your truck a bit. Getting stronger/stiffer coils will prevent that, but will probably be a rougher ride.

For s full suspension lift you'll need shocks, coilovers, and either a new leaf pack or an Add-A-Leaf in the rear. That choice is based on if you want to be able to haul more weight and how much you want to spend. AALs are cheaper for sure.

How much are you looking to spend?
    What model/year are you driving?

Once we know those we can give more specifics. Welcome to the site!

Hmm, the shop in Maine is only about an hour away since I'm in Methuen, so I won't rule it out at least.

As for my Tacoma it's a 2013 Pre-runner with a xspx-package on it. Price range is a bit uncertain and fluid as I don't really have a good grasp as to how expensive the process is.

I don't haul a great deal outside some lumber and cement for home projects, so I don't need to add any hauling ability. As I said I never offroad, I drive exclusively on pretty well off road. The only caveat is that while I wanna add some inches, I don't wanna loose too much driving comfort/steering.

    Thanks for the quick answers

A good place to start is HeadStrong OffRoad. They are very well reviewed on here, and I bought my parts from them. Here's the link to the relevant full kits for a 2013 Prerunner: http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/c52/Tacoma_2005-2015_Complete_Kits.html

I went with Bilstein 5100s and OME 885 coils with a Deaver AAL. It gave my access cab right around 2.5-3 inches of lift. If you want something softer, check out the OME package with the 90021 Soft Ride struts.

xpsx package is the one with the led DRLs under the headlights right? I think it was a weird dealer add on from the South. Anyways, you have only received good info in this thread so far!
