I got my 2017 TRD 4x4 from Modesto Ca dealer last Sat. The finance guy was the best ever -they must know people buy Toyotas for a reason and typically don't buy the warranties, however, he did say the Navi unit costs 4g to replace.

He offered me a $1,200 (or around there) 10 year warranty for ALL electronics..............pretty good deal. I have until July 23rd to make the decision.

Have you all bought warranties for the electronics?

pretty sure an aftermarket navi is cheaper to replace than all of that...

Hell no I don't get suckered into extended warranties.
It should come with its own and electronics usually fail within the first three month or before the warranty. Save the money, put it in the bank and if it does make it past the warranty, buy $10 magnet smart phone mount and use it or aftermarket head unit for $400-600 and its much better than oem anyways.

    Cheers!

I typically say no to the extended warranties, if thats just the electronics your getting screwed. Its covered for 3 years bumper-bumper. And after that its out of date anyways and way cheaper to put a new fully capable headunit in. Lots have already swapped theres out.

If your like me and have had multiple issues with your truck, transmission shift assembly replaced, ujoints,
Wheel bearing, squeaky leafs etc the list goes on. It may be worth an ext warranty if the dealer or toyota gives it to you at cost. Which is what i got after owning the truck almost 2 years and not happy with the issues.

Only worth it if you're the kind that has to have everything be factory fresh.

Otherwise $1200 buys a superior aftermarket unit with nav.

I never bought an extended warranty for any vehicle. For 1200 you can buy your own after market system and remember if you finance the warranty for the life of the loan you end up paying a lot more for the warranty..

Navi isnt worth having to begin with, much less pay for extra warranty.

Are they still charging for map updates?

I spent about $1300 for an extended warranty on the whole truck. If it's just electronics, you're getting hosed. Also, don't roll it into your payments... no reason to pay interest on this.

They always push customers to pay something they don't want, the day i was picking up my truck, they did same thing. I asked her if you trust TOYOTA, would you buy an extended warranty? some other kori vehicles offer 10 years warranty, but i never see those cars on the road would be older than 10 years.
