    I can make it spin clockwise or counterclockwise at will.

    Here is the same illusion but with a ballerina instead of a kitty.

    Same here. I can reverse direction at will.

    I got a glimpse of it going the other way a couple times, if I look away and back at it for a second, but then it continues going clockwise. Interesting.
