Alpine make vehicle specific head units. IDK if they replicate all the factories functions but they are made for each individual model

I have had my 2016 Tacoma completely upgraded. Memphis audio speakers both front and rear, added tweeters on door pillars. I have two amps, one 2500 and one 2000 under each seat. One powering door speakers and then I have a sundown audio 12" behind drivers seat powered by the other amp. Sounds great for the cabin that I'm working with.

Would *love* to see how you setup that 12 in the access cab. I want the clarity of the OEM system but I want a bigger sub!

It was similar to this. Not my picture I will upload one later one, but it's very similar.

Where did you source the OEM jbl speakers? Big improvement over the non-jbl speakers that come stock?

Really wanting to upgrade mine, lots of choices on Crutchfield but worried about fitment issues.

Got them at Crutchfield, they can set you up with everything you need. They sound better but an amp would make a big improvement .

I have everything from the JBL system sitting in my closet that I have been wanting to sell. I also redid the entire system on a factory JBL system without a new headhunt so if theres any question I might be able to help.

I have a guy getting rid of his jbl system out of his 16 . My question is, is the Tacoma already prewired for the amp? And if so where is it located and where should the amp be mounted?

Even though I have the JBL system, I came from a 2011 E90 M3 with the enhanced premium sound which had 16 speakers and, a nine channel amp, and 825 watts. The JBL is just not cutting it.

I know this is an old post, but I just picked up a 2016 with stock speakers. I was told that a spacer is needed to move the magnet away from the window going down...did you have to do this?
