Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
    Good morning fello Tacoma drivers!

Yesterday took my Tacoma to NTB to get a new set of 4 BF Goodrich A/T KO2's tires. NTB currently has a sale on tires and well my original BF Goodrich A/T KO's had about, maybe a year of tread left on them and decided to just take advantage of the sale. For all 4 tires, along with a complete 4 wheel alignment, total cost $814.63 just for that!

This past Thursday I see an add on tv from NTB on them having a sale on tires. Called and spoke with the Service Manager inquiring specifically about BF Goodrich A/T KO2's (since the original KO's are no longer in production) explain to him what exactly I want (size, etc.) he says yes they have them in stock. Service Manager says he'll take care of me on working on the price, etc. since I was buying 4 brand new tires. Cool, set up appointment for early Friday morning.

Since the Service Manager was helping me on extra savings $ on tires (along with NTB's original sale) I then asked him (never hurts to just ask) how much of a deal he could give me if I also had all 4 shocks along with the two front struts replaced? He says he most definitely can give me a good deal on that as well. I then tell him to go ahead and replace all 4 shocks (lifetime warranty) and the two front struts as well.

This that and the other thing.
so, I do believe I fixed my damn head rest rattle. I opened up the back of the seat down at the bottom. awkwardly looked up there with a flashlight and this is what I saw.

    20170622_183319.jpg

see those little pink things. well they are warm down cuz they are cheap little plastic pieces. I noticed this lets the head rest assembly where the poles slide into move around. so i did this.

    20170622_190902.jpg

i wrapped zip ties around them to minimize the movement and it seems to have worked so far!

i also did my bed lights

My company recently added Line-X as a preferred vendor to aid us in servicing 11 meter ribs that we work on for the Navy (they want us to put that stuff on everything possible). So yesterday, I asked them to spray Line-X on my recently purchased KD Voodoo tailgate cap. The satin black powder coat finish was just bugging me. This stuff is amazing and considering having it sprayed on my front bumper.

Replaced the Silicone PCV Catch Can Feed Hose with some 5/16" Transmission cooler Rubber hose. Also put a 90%-5/16" Hose barb on input side of the Catch Can.

Treated all Door and widow seals with 303 Seal Protectant.

The top of my 2yr Old OEM Pro Headlights were starting to become oxidized so I tried the $9.00 Dollar Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit and it worked great. Forgot to take before pictures of the lights, but they're like New.

Do you park your truck in a garage or under a carport? I've thought about getting the pro headlights but if they are already oxidizing that soon I may have to rethink things. I realize you have to deal with the Florida sunshine, so that probably doesn't help.

Most days it's out in the elements. I've seen this with both pro and non pro lights. Thanks.

    A thing or two...
Looks good. Line-X is some tough stuff, but damn, it's expensive. I called a local company that does Line-X before I ordered my new bumper last weekend. They wanted $3-400, so I ordered it with powdercoat. I'll look into having it Line-X'ed in the future when the powdercoat needs redone
