I have a 2012 Baja. Does the front lift come from the coils alone or a combination of coils and shocks? Both my front shocks were leaking so I replaced with 5100's at the .85" setting thinking this would give me just under 3" of front lift. It looks to me like if anything I lost some height in the front. Was I wrong in thinking that the baja springs provided the 2" lift? I may end up buying ome 885 and setting the 5100's at 0.

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
Why not just buy the same shock?

The only place to get just the shock is through Toyota and they're $600 for the set. Wasn't looking to spend that much, and if I did I would get a complete coil over set.

Pm toytec lifts. Guy knows his stuff when it comes to suspension. He's helping me with some custom parts for my truck

I talked to someone at toytec. They said the only way to get that same shock is to buy the 6112 kit. Trust me, I've researched thoroughly and only been able to find them through Toyota. And the guys at the dealership really had no clue about the Baja package so I figured by best bet would be go another route.

I'm going to ride along on this question - is it possible to even purchase the Baja shocks by themselves at slightly less than the price of a 6112 kit?

I bought some lightly used TRD Baja springs a while ago before realizing they need a flat perch (i.e. the stock Baja shocks or the 6112s). I don't need the springs which come with the 6112 kit.
