    @ChandlerDOOM

Don't know if you had mentioned this or not... but I assume the RTT on top of the Canopy? Thought about putting Solar and essentially having the canopy separate from the trucks power?

Yeah RTT will be mounted on top. Thats one of the things I plan on doing once I get the aluminum RTT figured out, it will have provisions to mount solar on top of the RTT, but also another quick connect where the canopy and RTT meet so solar can be mounted either on the top of both.

So the plan is to to have the canopy on its own power source, but also connected to the truck for charging purposes.

This is kind of a hard subject because everyones needs will be different. The goal is to offer a blank model, and a model with drawers and organizational bits. I would really love to build them up but obviously not everyone has the money to drop on a tray/canopy/RTT/Fridge/Dual battery/Solar/Kitchen all at once so that wont happen much if ever.

To me that would be idea as far as having it on its own power source but can still charge from the truck.

A blank model is great and so is a model with the drawers and such already there. I mean for someone like me that already has a solar kit, fridge, etc etc. One that I could build off of with drawers and such there would be pretty idea.

The issue with that is then some might want full length drawers, some want shallow drawers with a cutting table, some want deep and short drawers. He's well on the way to the blank slate that'll be very popular.

Having modular drawers/shelves/dividers/attachments is the way to go IMO so you can move them around to suit whatever other stuff you have. Biggest thing with that is incorporating some tie downs/fasteners at regular intervals in the first canopies so a modular system can easily be built after the fact to connect to those points that'll already be in there and the first buyers aren't out of luck once that stuff starts to come online.

Well said, thats my mindset right now. I want to offer a long lasting product, not something that will have people wish they would have waited for the next version. I want it to be exactly that, modular.

    True... very true...

Modular is always nice, there is always something I wish I could configure differently honestly, no matter what it is.

Cleaned up the inside and the outside of the truck today, I had yet to clean out the dust from the trip on the inside plus the normal grain fallout from the elevator across the street.

I removed the lightbar from the roof rack, it got moisture inside plus I don't care for the light bar mounted above the windshield anyways. Took some pictures of the damage from Kane creek, passenger side doors just scrapped the vinyl off and ripped the boxed area off for the exhaust on the skid plate.

Noticed my fairlead is corroded, so ill have to swap that out with one of the other fairleads I have sitting around

Tomorrow I am going to try and get the tires re balanced so its nice and smooth again

Seriously wish I had it by now. Called friday and it finally made it in, but she said its not available for pickup. So I figured whatever I can grab it monday but she couldn't say for certain it would be ready on monday, so that means I likely wont have it until friday since I work out of town and they are only open 9-5 m-f so I will have to take friday off

Its been brutal dealing with this shipping company. It took less time to cross the ocean then it did to make the trip from Long Beach to St Louis. They couldn't track the truck, hours of business means I have to take a day off just to go pick it up, and I had to call from the estimated arrival date each day just to see if it made it in because otherwise you wouldn't receive any word that its available for pick up.

Hopefully I can arrange for another company to do the stateside shipping on the next round, otherwise I will probably head out to CA to make the pick up from the port myself simply to avoid this situation.

Next time ship it to wherever I'm at and I'll pick it up for you ñ

It sucks that people can't do their jobs anymore... You are a shipping company, ship it and communicate! It should be simple.

    Sounds good lol

Seriously. I can understand delays, but the lack of business hours/shipment tracking/and expecting customers to just keep calling for shipments is beyond my understanding.

Hopefully the next shipment goes better with another company

I'll get the invoice with the shippers name that I used. Told me when he picked up when he intended to meet me and gave me updates along the way. The first date and time he stated was a half hour past when he showed up. He was quick.

Can he move containers? I thought you used a hotshot. Did you still have to clear the customs yourself or did he do it on your behalf?

Kimberley hired the company that did the import, all my carrier had to do was pick it up and bring to me. He had a dropdeck flatbed that allowed the trailer to be rolled off but said they can carry anything that isn't hazmat or requires refrigeration.

The invoice is at the shop in the invoice drawer, I'll be out there later today and I'll text you the contact info.

Needed something to keep me busy over the weekend and 4th of July so I bought some rock lights and some led strips with a battery pack for the RTT.

@Sacrifice you have plans for the 4th?

Let me know how the rock light install goes... I did my front ones last week and then moved them again, still need to place the rear ones. Right now going for practicality over looks though.

Yeah not sure how its going to go, I bought the cheap "eagle eyes" ones that are down below in the products discussed. I bought 20 so I'm sure it will be more than enough light. In the rear it will have double for "courtesy" usage at camp. Should be interesting because of the way they mount, I will probably have to make brackets for them
