yea the barrel kills it for me. and i do not think i am allowed to buy one and have it pinned before i took ownership either. pretty sure one or two barrel companies offer a non threaded bull barrel for the regular take down model though. maybe when i find my next money tree.

Interesting. What kind of feed ramp angle do you have on that? My MP5 clone has no ramp and lead tip hollow points mash up against it. If I use JHP they work fine.

I was drooling over AR platform carbine that take glock mags.

I want to see if my sub2k will run hollowpoints reliably. It would a great truck gun on trips.

I would like to make a slight correction to my answer of that being concealed, from what I have just learned, in Florida, that is not considered legal concealed carry because they call it printing, if a gun prints in Florida it is not considered concealed!. You learn something new every day I guess

    going to be fun!
I will need to look around but I think there is a case right now in the Fl courts about this "printing" issue as improper exhibition and brandishing for many states. In both cases, it's the demonstration of intent to intimidate. But the middle ground between improper exhibition or brandishing and simply being spotted is a fuzzy gray area.

Man today I was reminded why i both hate and like going ot gun stores. Had some extra time to kill so decided to stop at two on my way home. One Ive always liked and is the "big box store" type. Stopped there first and was just browsing around. Looking at the guns and it was a bit slow. Gun counter kid asked if i needed help to which i told him nah im just browsing and killing time and not really planning on buying anything. Kid said that fine but if i wanted to check anything out he'd still let me handle it and was glad he was honest with him. So got to handle a couple guns I'd wanted to check out but never really cared to buy. (ksg shotgun, Kimber Ultra light something or another hunting rifle, and some other stuff). Then headed off to the next gun store which was on the way and is not my favorite. Dont like some of their business practices but they do have a huge collection on hand. So stop in as another guy is leaving. Three guys at the counter working and its just me in the store. Not once did they ask if i needed help. The typical ex-military trying to one up each other. "Yeah this one time we were in the field and blah blah blah" next guy "o yeah well we were doing the same but had this happen!!" Proceed on the whole 10 minutes i was in there of that one upping each other. The entire time it was as if i wasnt standing right in front of them browsing the guns.

Just makes you wonder how some places stay in business.

yeah I remember them at 150-200 but I wasn't interested in them I wanted the ppk
but once I finally tried to get a Makarov (because the ppk I wanted was 1600) and up I couldn't find any and if one would pop up it was 400-600 so the second I saw one for 250 I got it right away great gun but I hate the mag release on it I just need to get used to it I guess

Im sure they are! Just a bummer that my old FFL guy closed up and moved across the state. Was super nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. But hard times hit him so him and his wife upped and moved. Havent found another FFL that I really care for as of yet.

Primes are fixed focal lengths with the most common being 50mm. I'm willing to bet your zoom lens has a focal length under 50mm

I have it, it's great for inside work where you can get close and for big landscapes. Basically replaced my kit lens - all I haul around now is the body with the prime lens and my 70-300mm ED VR lens. I want a new body tho - still rocking the D60 circa 2009.

I was just handed down a d40x, with no lens. So I bought a 55-200 off of offer up. I'm starting to see it's a little too much lens then I thought it was going to be . Hence why I'm looking into a smaller lens.
