Hi there, I'm installing an ome lift on my trd off road tacoma and I'm having trouble taking out the front struts.

I am using the method in this video : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5E6u7dC7EHg

I'm at the point where I am lowering the control arm to de-compress the spring and the control arm will not lower all the way. I have only loosened rear lower control arm bolt and have not loosened the front lower control arm bolt, so this might be the problem, but in the video it shows them only loosening the rear?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

When you go to put it back together just go really slow coming back up to make sure you don't damage the top hat with strut shaft. Hopefully you have a second set of hands with you to make it easier to do.

As well when you go to put the two bolts in on lca ball joint don't be shy, you may have to push pull twist on the brake rotor to get them to line up to be threaded back in.

Removed upper control arm ball joint. I put a large pry bar on the lower control arm and pressed down. Pulled the top of the coilover out and then removed lower.

I didn't have to remove the lower ball joint at all
