Just checking to if this is normal or not? When I roll up my window on drivers side door the door panel bulges out and hits my leg, I'm guessing the motor is pushing up against it and must be a tight fit. It's my first Toyota 4x4 2017 DCSB SR5.

    Thanks

No, that does not sound normal. How much of a bulge are we talking about? Mine doesn't move at all.

Not normal. Something is probably loose inside the door. Take it to the dealer for warranty repair.

My 2nd gen has very slight movement when going down. Like maybe 1/8th of an inch? If that. My frontier did the same. So did my civic. But that movement was the window rolling down the track moving down with it. Maybe take the door panel off and reconnect the window switch so you can see what it's doing.

I'm pretty sure my door panels flex, but not like what you are saying. If you press your finger into the door panel there is quite a bit of play in them, but I've never felt my window rolling down through the door.

My panel doesn't move. Something is loose, bent, or something may hebe been left in there. I would pull the panel and check it out before something happens.

BTW, welcome and congrats on the purchase! Take it to the dealer, that's what the warranty is for. I never do work that I can get someone else to do for free. :D

Happens with mine too. It's a small flex when the window is all the way up and I check to make sure all windows are up as I'm pulling in the driveway. It's not noticeable (at least mines not) to the eye, but I can feel it with my leg if it's up against it, like you're saying.

It does it when the window is up and I'm checking to make sure it's up all the way. I'll have the dealer check it when I take her in for her first oil change.
Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'm going to love my first Toyota, I was a little concerned at first because I've always been an F150 guy, but wanted a midsize truck this time and I recently bought my two children Rav4's and they love them. I already love this forum even though it will probably cause me to go broke...LOL.

I notice mine when I roll it up, I wouldnt call it a bulge or anything. Slight shift when the window locks up.

If it's only a bery little when the window is topping out, that's normal. If its a lot, thats not normal.

OP - mine does something like you describe. It somewhat flexes and can be felt with my leg. I've always wondered if this was normal as well. I figured it was a function of the rather soft/flexible interior panel. My old Ranger never did this but it had more of a solid interior panel.

I'm not convinced yet that it rises to the level of having the dealership hacks "fix" it. I'm tempted to write it off as cheap construction and move on until something fails.

Mine does that and the rental I drove also did if you held the switch when the window was fully closed or open.
