I love my new 17 Taco Sport. First taco and I've been wanting one for years. So I knew I wanted a little lift and I agreed to have the dealer do it because apparently I hate money. So the sale guy told me that when the time came I would have a chance to sit down and choose wheels and tires. I got the phone call that parts were in, I dropped off my truck thinking maybe we would go over what I wanted, took off with the loaner, came back and they had just put these Fuel wheels/tires on there. My lifestyle is super busy so it may seem stupid that I didn't ask them what they were going to do but I'm always running around with little time to spare.

I don't like the way these mud tires ride, loud and rough. Its just too much tire for what I need. I'm going to call the dealer but its reasonable to ask to be able to choose tires/wheels even now, right? I never looked at a catalog or anything. I saw a set I liked when I was at the lot and mentioned to the sales guy that I liked them and I think he went and ordered them. I just said I liked them, there was nothing even close to a final decision made.

I assume you paid for the wheels before you drove off so I recommend 49 more posts so you can sell them in the classified section... like me. Not to pour more Tabasco in your eyes but Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires are pretty quiet for a moderately aggressive tire or the ever popular BFG All Terrains. Had both in 285/75R16 (current) and 33x11.50R15 on an old Jeep.

They have been kinda douchey to deal with the whole time. Which is too bad because I love the truck. I'm waiting for a call from the manager but I have a feeling that they are waiting a few days to say I drove on them too much already. I made sure to let them know that the vehicle is parked while we wait to straighten this out. They tried to sneak in the bed step which I never ordered or talked about with anyone. These trucks are awesome, why can't they get out of the f'in way?

Sorry to hear that. It's not called the "stealership" for nothing! Land Rover is waaaay worse. I started off Jeep (4), then Land Rover (2), finally I reached Zen with my first Toyota.

Follow these boards for future mods and they should give you a fairly objective view. Join a group (I know... no time) and let them help you throw aftermarket parts on for a few beers. At least with Tacomas, you can do that in the future. I feel your pain, I just paid $200 for rubber moldings that I threw out when I put on a Toyota rack. Highway robbery!!! However, I ONCE paid $50 to Land Rover only to have them tell me I had a malfunction light on because I used an Auto Zone bulb for a brake light. Then they wanted to charge me another $40 for the proper UK-built bulb. Good luck. If you live in the NOVA area I'll help you out on future mods (don't worry you will find something to change up).
