    I definitely think an rtt is worth it... Maybe one day lol


    I also have a big ass 6 man family tent... But it's a pain to set up... And i dont need that much room lol


    I have thought about this. I see used pull behind campers for sale all the time around 2-3 grand...some pretty nice ones... Not as convenient as being right on the truck or as cool looking as an rtt but more room... For more money too granted.


    But i think i wouldn't use it as much as an rtt because i wound hate being tied to the camper...

    True. It'd be perfect for places like Citrus...and maybe Moab (I'm not sure how it works at Moab, but it seems like from what I've seen it has a central camping area you can hit the various trails from, but I could be dead wrong). Places like the Rubicon trail is where a RTT would shine, I think, where you go from one end to the other and camp in between.

    But yeah, there's definitely something to be said about being able to stand up and move around...and having A/C and heat to make sleeping more comfortable...especially when you get older and shit hurts more. ;)

    Picked up a cvt for 500$. Needs to be cleaned and drove 2.5hrs for it but it was a sweet deal. Lol. Be patient and keep and eye out.

    Lee, in Paul's video that was about the off camber limit of my Runner. We almost flopped it into the bank. About 1:08 in it slips and then I recover before we touched the bank.

    No damage, but I still have to wash it to see how the Monstaliner held up to all the branches.

    It looked like there was some major pucker factor there. How many degrees of lean do you think that was? It definitely looked more extreme than the 30* we had on the section with the logs back in February.

    Edit: I did my photo analysis bit like I did to the one back in February and I got about 36* of lean @1:14 in the video. If you were leaned over further than that before, I didn't have a good enough view of it to analyze.

    36*, I'll take it. Definitely caught me slightly off guard when the passenger side rear unloaded and we slide a little. Got the blood flowing for sure.

    Also slightly off topic but I was told that someone on here can do name changes... who is that? Last trip the 4 bolts holding my LCA and lower ball joint together broke and I basically drove the truck out of the woods with one bolt holder it together.. I think I need to change to One Bolt Wonder :itllbuffout:

    Dunno what you did about that, but I replaced my LBJ-to-spindle bolts with M10x35mm class 10.9 flange head bolts. They are Dorman branded bolts and can be found at the auto parts shop...

    I also use blue lock-tite every time I put them in...which, unfortunately is quite frequently since I break shit so much. :frusty: I haven't had one of these fail yet and I beat on them pretty hard. I'm actually kind of amazed that I haven't had to replace a LBJ yet (knocking on wood) since I'm on my third set of UBJs in 4 years.

    Ended up jacking up the truck with a hi-lift and then jacking the LCA/shock with a bottle jack and using a bigger/longer random bolt and forcing it to thread in. Then had two smaller bolts that were simply there in hope to keep it from pivoting. One feel out during the 4 miles drive. Now I'm running a fabtech lift with their stuff, but actually bought the same style bolt and used Loctite lol. Til I can sas it at least:thumbsup: Had some awesome dudes to help out on the trail that day lol
