If equipped with a v-8, Dana front axle, and nine inch rear like my '71 was, would get my attention...

I am going to update this list from March to amend:

Power Seats - 100% as options on upper trim models.

Since it follows suit with the 4R Pro, then white, black, and Cavalry blue.

Just place the order. Knowing Toyota, they probably won't change much. As others have stated, they might include safety sense. I just bought mine, and I love it. So much fun to drive.

This is probably a smart move, as most of the magazine reviews rip the Tacoma for no power seats. I just hope they are paying attention to the other complaints about shifty ATs and whiney diffs. I want a new Tacoma, but not with those "features".

Guys you are smoking crack if you think the Hilux is so much more capable and reliable than the Tacoma. I'm on the board of missionaries in Kenya and we bought them a Hilux. They have had bad front wheel bearings, broken rear springs and other less severe annoyances so far. It does have a diesel however!

Do you think maybe because it's marketed and sold in a 3rd world region that the QA isn't as high as it would be in the states

Not sure where it was built but it's kind of disappointing that they are having to do these repairs as I was the one who pushed for a Toyota in the first place. Perhaps any other brand would be having issues handling the "roads" there.

    Workin' on it....
I think this is key here. Having bombed around in a Hilux in South Africa over a 3 month period, what qualifies as "roads" is a fairly liberal definition....

The rear glass is already automatic now on trims higher than SR5.

Sure it is just like the rear disc "breaks".
