Pure Sine Wave Inverter

I saw the BESTEK 300W Power Inverter "pure sine inverter" on Amazon, but the osc output looks pretty noisy. Can anyone recommend one they've used? Thanks!

I was quite surprised to see a "pure sine inverter" for $33; then I dig up the YouTube video of its output and found out why--"pure sine" my backside--however to be fair it's not all that bad compared to other "pure sine" inverters I have seen, some costing 3 to 4 times as much. I would guess its output to be in the 35% to 45% THD range.

If you want a real, low distortion, sine wave output; 300 to 400 W, say 3% to 5% THD; you'll need to spend $150 to $200.

3% to 5% THD is what most public utilities provide...

 

Yeah I don't mind the cost. I just don't know which one I should get so looking for recommendations from users.

 

I read through the reviews on Amazon, some say it's output is pretty good--and show some waveforms that look clean--however those that do do not specify the specs of their 'scopes. If I had any use for another low power inverter (I have three plus the one in the truck, and no longer use any of them) I'd buy one and test it myself...

 

Yah. I read about this one too. I'm just wondering if anyone out there uses *ANY* Pure Sine Inverter and can recommend it.

 

I picked this one up, seems good, reviews are good, haven't put it on a scope or looked up any graphs.

Hey all, is it safe to assume that the Tacoma built in inverter is not Pure Sine Wave?

 

That's probably a safe assumption, or else Toyota would charge more for it.
