Dude, I'd suggest not getting the TRD plate unless you just really want it. You can get an RCI (or comparable) that will be much better for less money.

Sounds like it could be a piece of block from the Trump wall. At least you or someone else wasn't hurt.

Not really planning on running over anymore cinder blocks. I'm not an off road type of guy but was going to go with it more for the looks. Wasn't planning on going with the steel ones, too pricey. I just want to find something reasonably priced & still have a little "bling" if ya know what I mean lol.

    TRD will do the trick.

I had one on my Tacoma, got backed into by a huge sedan, and it was barely bent. Bent it back and looked like new again!

He's probably not joking. These get replaced by skid plates all the time, so members have them laying around and no use for them.

Damn I was looking at the RCI skid plates & they only for 4x4 models. Would the TRD skid plate fit my regular SR?

No joke at all. Just like Randy said, mines laying around collecting dust and taking up space in the garage so willing to help others if I can. Hawaii would be expensive to ship though lol

I would leave it. You can try as hard as you want but sooner or later some d!ck is going to scratch or ding your rig. So I would leave it and have a mental note that its not flawless anymore that way you would be as pissed when some a$$Hole scratches your truck.

Use it as anger management tool. Of course if you catch someone red handed messing with your rig definitely make them pay for the damage.

I know as cars, it's almost impossible for them to be flawless. But this isn't a work truck or a beater, its my daily driver and I want to at least have some pride in what I drive. Thanks for the advice though (I think?). Lol

I have family in Southern Cali. If the product is clean, I'd be happy to buy it from you.

I agree. Its my DD too. I give it a 2 hour wash every weekend or two. But I've had mine for 50,000 miles with no accidents. *vigorously knocking on wood* You have to stay optimistic and be glad it wasn't worse. Imagine going through a brick with a car...

But since you've made up your mind on a replacement I highly recommend looking through the FS (For Sale) section in this forum. Alot or people swap out their stock with aftermarket. The stock are being sold for cheaper than new and they're mostly flawless.

Yeppp. I've been in some very bad accidents before, wrapped my BMW around a pole & almost lost my life once. But we all live & learn, I don't want to be the guy driving down the street with his front bumper hanging off with a cracked windshield lol.

Thanks, I'll def. be taking a look on there. The only thing is I'm all the way from Hawaii so sometimes shipping costs more than the product itself.

Everyone wants to bolt on these big heavy ass skid plates, but I think the factory "splash pan" did a good job at taking a cinder block straight on, and it weighs probably less than half of what some of these do

That splash plate bent and doesn't cover transmission or t case..
