I have a 2016 TDR 4X4 off road, the headliner above driver side door is coming out, I took it to toyota and they said they fixed it in April and now it is coming out again. How can I get them to fix it right? The comment they wrote after fixing it in April was the headliner was dirty and looked like it was being pulled on from someone trying to stand on the running board. I am the only one that uses my truck and have never used the running board to stand up on and it was not dirty at all! I was not a happy camper after reading that! They also said they had washed my truck but in fact did not.

Seems to be a fairly common problem with them. Keep going back to the dealer until it's permanently fixed. I would also make a little fuss about the comments. Possibly, contact toyota of North America if they don't resolve the issues.

I would find another dealer. They should not be putting that type of comments anywhere.
In my shop even if we suspect something was done by the customer, if we can not prove it, then we fix it and file warranty.
We never put any comments about the customer did such and such, unless we have absolute proof, which is hard to do.
The dealer you have currently is running a shady operation, definitely report to corporate.

Be prepared to go directly to the Toyota regional manager about this. First though, give the dealership every opportunity to fix the problem and erase the false accusations. The comments are subjective and indicate they don't care about their customers.

When you give the dealership another opportunity to make it right, it will make your case stronger against them. Plus it can help expose whether or not they have a single person doing this crap or if it is systemic within the dealership.

I can't really figure out this dealerships service department, it seams like they tend to ignore the first word in that department. (customer) service, kind of thinking they need to go back to toyota school or old school like I went to. If it's a customer you do as much as possible to make sure that they are happy.
I also have Goodyear mud grip tiers, it started feeling rough when driving on pavement after about 6 months of them being on and I have them rotated every 3500 to 4000 miles. They are not cuping nor rounding they look perfect. He told me well the more you drive on them the rougher your truck will ride. If this is true then I would not have spent that kind of money, what is your take on that comment? Because I really wanted to laugh.

My take on this is simple - you need to get another dealer ASAP and contact Toyota corporate.

Mine is doing the same thing. The dealer looked at it and made it 10x worse. I'm going to try gluing the weatherstrip to headliner and hope that keeps it together.

Calling Toyota corporate does absolutely nothing.

I did that. Spent a while explaining the problem and history. They put me on hold and called th dealer. They got back on the phone and said sorry. We rely on the service people at the dealer. They said this. Too bad. Byyyye.

Honestly, we are losing skilled tradesmen daily. Back in the day a good headliner and interior guy was worth his weight in gold. Now you just can't find people that can do this kind of work. If you have a headliner shop maybe give them a call or, if it was me, I would force Toyota to get it right.

Sad to hear but I don't give up that easily. I made Toyota corporate fix my last second gen after they told me no a few times. I kept calling and emailing and they did everything I wanted and more. Have you tried emailing corporate with their CEO (Akio Toyoda) and NA CEO? I did this and they were hopping and skipping for me. I also got an extended warranty too.

I'll eventually just spend the 1000 bucks and buy a new headliner. Then just install myself.

My only win was I refinanced out of Toyota to my bank. That cost them more than fixing the headliner. I just wish they knew about it. Haha

Sticking it to corporate! We have a guy where I live that installs these things for only a couple hundred bucks. He cuts his own material/fabric, which is much better than what the factory gives. Good guy.

    Nope. One and only Tacoma.

I had a turbo brz. That's about the closest thing I've had to a BMW. :)

Ah gotcha. Used to post on a BMW forum and someone has the same forum name as you.
