    He's 9 and wouldn't be able to paddle a big kayak. I thought about a cheap tandem for when he goes or one that you can use as both single or tandem.

    Walmart sell a kids kayak for $88 and it looks kind of cool for a kid. Saw a few video's on Youtube about them. Easy to get back into from the back if they fall out. I figured with him it would be more exploring than fishing but it looks like he has something else in mind. lol
