    Yeah, I got the 2008 base tacoma. I dont think it has it.

    Pre '09 I guess dont have a vsc switch. This is the closest picture I can get currently to show you. It should be next to the mirror adjustment if I'm not mistaken

    Yep, that's where its supposed to be. I'm surprised, I didn't know you could get an 08 without traction control button.

    Just read another thread about it. Its from 05-08 sports that don't have it? But mines a base model so I'm confused lol

    I'd suggest you give up trying to diagnose anything until you're back with the vehicle. Guessing does no one, including you, any good. Even if someone here guesses right, you can't deal with it to confirm it.

    I'd also suggest you ask your friend who is driving it to stop. Not knowing the issue, it's very possible the issue could be made worse, and certainly not better, by being used.

    It's not going to hurt anything to sit a few weeks. If the battery is older, just get him to put a 2A tender on it.

    Start over when you are present with the vehicle.

    Just told him to check the tire pressure and to check the cats to see if they are clogged and do a stall test if he had time. He's gonna look at it today possibly. I just want it fixed:playball:
