I have a Pace Edwards Switchback Tonneau cover and had been looking for a bed rack that would allow for the cover to remain on and be fully operational. Luckily, I was able to get a set of the new brackets and test them out with the cover before committing to the full rack purchase.

Didn't have to modify the Pace Edwards cover hardware at all, I did remove the original foam weather stripping and add a 1/4in rubber weather stripping and cut out around the brackets to have it seal against the sides. Assembling the rack itself was easy, it took under an hour to assemble and mount in the truck between two people.

Overall I'm very happy with the quality of the bed rack, I needed one to allow for carrying an OC-2 (2 Person Outrigger Canoe) as the distance between the factory roof racks is too close together to allow for more than a OC-1 to be stably secured. It also easily allows for me to tarp over the back of the bed on sunny days when my Pup is hanging out in the back.

Pictures of the rails/brackets and bed cover before and after are attached below. Thanks to KB Voodoo for a solid piece of equipment, that will make adventuring all the more fun and comfortable.

I'm off Island for a couple of days. I'll snap a pic of the underside of the rails when I'm back

Hi @the_dau, sorry for the delay work trip out to Kauai ended up lasting longer than initially thought. I grabbed a pic yesterday of how part of the underside of the rail now looks.

Did you put that same 1/4 weather stripping along the Switchblade housing unit up front? And did you do anything around the brackets for sealing, or is water not coming in through there?

I used extra weather stripping I had with the Pace Edwards Cover to seal against the brackets, it's only about 1/8in, it provides separation for the metal parts and low profile enough so that it's not lifting up the rails from the sides of the bed and letting the 1/4 Rubber Seal be effective. You can see it in the 3rd picture, it's a light grey color. I did use the 1/4 in Rubber Seal around the Canister as well as the original seal was not adequate for providing a good seal.

I've had the truck outside in a few rain storms and through the car wash and haven't seen a drop inside the bed. Hope that helps!

Just wanted to thank you for the info. I was actually debating buying the Pace Edwards just today and being as I didn't know if it would work with my VooDoo rack I was hesitant. Guess I know what my next purchase will be .... thanks again.

Nice setup. With these tonneau brackets does the rack clear the top of the gps antenna? I'm planning on a long skycamp rtt that will stick over the roof so I need to make sure it will clear the antenna.

The OEM Roof Rack and the KB Bed Rack are slightly below the antenna, I can get a tape to measure it later today but I took a couple of pictures to illustrate the height difference for now and I'll get you the exact measurement later today.

Chad, another measurement I need is the distance between the mounting points (front and rear brackets on center) My retrax canister eats up about 11.5 inches at the front of the bed. Need to make sure i'll still have space to mount the brackets on the rail with whatever is left of the exposed rail.

You'll need 1.25 in lift on the rack to clear the top of the antenna with your RTT, I measured with a level over the weekend, it was a bit too difficult to hold and take a picture but that's how much higher you'll need it based off my setup.

Crap ok. I'll have to see how I can raise it up a bit. Maybe add a bar on top of the cross bars. Thanks for the pics. Gonna have to think of something

A couple of 2x4s would do the trick? And you could use the slits on the top of the existing rails to mount them easily

Yes, my Pace Edwards Switchback Tonneau Cover is a roll up and works with the KB Voodoo brackets.
