    Hey all,
I'm new here and want to share my long thinking decision of trade my 2014 2.7L 4x2 prerunner short bed double cab for a 2017 TRD SPORT V6 4X4 DOUBLE CAB LONG BED. 3 months ago I was decided for a Ford F-150 XLT sport 3.5 ecoboost 10 speed. Double cab long bed but few things make me change my mind and I want to ask this forum if I did the right choice.
    1. The reason for The switch was mainly because of the lack of power on the 2.7 L and secondly due to the lack of a 4x4 and third short bed, I need a longer bed after all.
    2. The F150 is a beautiful truck but my fear is that V6 3.5 ecoboost engine, I feel that those turbos will be end up in a costly head ache. And the tag price difference is about 15k . too much for my pocket. Other important factor that came into the game was the resale value, thete is no competition against a Tacoma. I'm not saying that I'm thinking to change my tacoma in the near future but you never know what will happens tomorrow......

So after all this info, I want to hear about experiences from you guys out there with the new 2017 Tacoma. I will recieve my silver gray double cab long bed after 6 weeks of anxious waiting, I can't believe it was so hard to find in that color and with that configuration. The fist think I'm going to do is to get rid of the ugly front grill and get the Trd black one or something more clean but at the same time little aggressive.

My opinion is my truck is great. But my needs and wants to are particular to my situation.
My opinion about your question is you need to test drive all the different trucks, and decide for yourself.
The end of the day, Tacoma has a solid reputation behind it, and if it suits your needs and your test drive experience tells you it is the best, you are good to go.
Good luck and welcome to TW- whatever you decide.
