    Hey all,

The wife, doggo, and myself will be heading up to Tahoe for the 4th of July weekend. Just bought my TRD OR 4x4 a couple weeks ago and looking to do some off roading. Other than the Rubicon, are there other trails you'd recommend? Nothing crazy enough to do damage, but a little challenging would be nice. Thanks in advance.

This is a bad year for off road fun in the Sierra. They had a whole lot of damage and lots of trails are closed. Even the Rubicon I hear is closed this year. I really like Forestdale Divide, it goes from Red Lake on hwy 88 south toward hwy 4. I have only been on the Blue Lakes to Red Lake section. I think it's about 6 miles of "road". The Blue Lakes to hwy 4 section is like a 7 or 8 on the scale, where the other section is a five. I have been back there twice before my lift and had no trouble and had a blast. But this year it's closed.

Ha I was just gonna post a link to alltrails...seems like an informative site. But this year there are lots of closed gates.

Ahh bummer. May have to find some trails on the way up from SoCal instead. Thanks for the help - I'll check out that site for some trails around Mammoth.
