I haven't read every post in here yet, but I think I know exactly the sound you are referring to. For me it happens in neutral or if I'm in gear with the clutch pedal depressed. Go over a bump and "CLANK clank".

Exactly the sound. Was alarming to here at first but understand it's normal while clutch depressed. I'm now just curious if anyone knows exactly what is making the clank. I like to understand all aspects of the truck. Anyone with a lot of manual knowledge can pipe in.

Because it's in neutral could be drive shaft play

My 2017 with 3300 miles on it is exactly this same way. The sound of the rattle hasn't changed, which I was listening for, as it might indicate something was coming loose and might soon fall off on the ground. Sound has not changed. Nothing has fallen apart. [yet...]

This rattle noise is the only thing that bothers me about my truck. I've have mine since Sept 2015 and that rattle is now also when clutch is engaged and truck in gear over bumps. Still clanks and rattles.... its getting irritating.

So I used to valet cars and it happened in the muscle cars I drove. It happens in my Pro when I mash the clutch in quickly. Didn't happen at all in my 2010 Reg cab. Pretty sure it's normal.

Was wondering if it is a normal issue why does it not affect all manuals? Seems like a lot fore sure. But what of those who don't? Wondering if things are not as tight as the others. Not too concerned but def makes me wonder??

Mine's rattled since I took it off the lot. Given the price tag I find it unnerving, but seems to be "normal" per these forums
