No problem. The stereo world is a deep dark place that wants to rip you off and take your monies for sub-par sound. There is so much bullshit advertised audio equipment out there.

    For example: https://www.walmart.com/ip/BOSS-Aud...75035&wl11=online&wl12=15780046&wl13=&veh=sem

This muthafucker doesn't put out anything near 1000watts of power. When it got bench tested on SMD website it pushed out less than 200watts of power.

Knoll lake is a perfect place to get away from the Valley heat. I'm fortunate to be in Heber/Overgaard full time. Don't have much contact with TW members up here through the year, other than occasional summer visitors. Seems for the most part the Arizona TW clan is in the Valley or scattered across the desert enduring the summer heat as best they can.

We love visitors here on the Rim. Just remember we're under severe 'no fire' restrictions this time of year, and do tread lightly if you venture off road. Rangers are out in force, and they're ticketing thoughtless violators of all sorts left and right. So come enjoy the cooler weather here in the high country, and make TW proud as you care for Arizona's beautiful natural resources in a way that highlights the best of TW members!..

It's a shame, it would be a pretty nice resource to at least get a general idea of what to look at.

I must be the one weirdo who is pretty much satisfied with the stock system in my truck, then again I only usually listen at volume levels between like 12-18 on the 3rd gen entune scale unless I am on the highway. This is with a 4 speaker system too, because Utility Package deletes the access door speakers.

If anything I think I would just upgrade the existing speakers with some higher quality ones with a higher sensitivity, skip the sub, amp, and so on, and just put a little extra sound deadening here and there.

I love it, but the kids do not like homemade macaroni... I know, I know.... it is only one of the things wrong with them.

Iam following this stereo build and you are really being patient. Lol. You keep saying component speakers and he's coming back with coaxial. By the time you get done he will be an expert.
I like to use an amp that can push more than the speakers rms. Then the amp isn't working at 100% and overheat to push the speakers.
I started buying stuff for my truck over two years ago. All on the cheap. @AZVern put the last puzzle piece in. He hooked me up with a 4 channel JL audio amp. The RCA cables and speaker wire 12 guage came in today so it will be a long night tonight.

I know, I has the dumb when it comes to this. I didn't know the difference between co-ax and component speakers until it was pointed out in a post. I really have no business doing this but fuck it, how else am I gonna learn it. I'm the type that really won't learn or know how to do things until I actually get my hands on it and do it myself

I did stereo stuff when I was a teenager but now that I actually have a clue it's a miracle that I didn't burn the car down. I did a lot of reading and rereading to understand watts, ohms, impedance, all Greek to me at first but now I kinda get it. Lol.

We had some genius fill the bed of his slammed s-10 with subs and put plexiglass over it... high school kids do some crazy things. I was just happy with a working stereo in my 89 4Runner.

I had a CRX that i had to remove the passenger seat to fit the extra batteries. It had 2 Orion HCCA 15's and around 3k of power. I had A Civic hatchback with 4x12's. That Civic had 6x10's at one point. I used to compete in DB drags. I was that guy in highschool. So much fun. So much money wasted.

Heard back on a paint quote. $450-500 to repaint my roof, hood, and grill. That's a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Hope to get that done soon. Followed with the wrap for my tailgate, just gotta get a quote on that.
