IMG_4376.jpg Sorry for the bad picture quality but I recently installed a set of Donahoe coilovers on my tacoma and while installing the lower shock bolt there was a big gap between the coilover and the shock tower holes allowing the coilover to move along the bolt. I'm not sure if I'm missing a part to the lower coilover or this is normal. You can tell in the picture that the shock tower has been bent do to being tightened it was the only way I could stop the show from moving around on the bolt. Any help is appreciated.

Also since the lower shock tower moved the bolt is now hitting at an odd angle

Have you contacted the vendor you bought from?

There should have been a parts list and assembly instructions, no?

Looks like you are missing your misalignment spacers. I would not drive the truck until you get them. They go between the shock tabs to keep the shock in the center. They look like this but I dont know what size yours need to be.

With those in there the shock tab will not fold in like yours is and the bolt head will sit flush

Figured it was missing something I thought the one inside of the shock tab right now that came with the coilovers was all that would be needed for them to fit. But from just looking at mine while I put them in clearly something was way off

Do you know if those need to be pressed into the shock tab with a hydraulic press or special tool

No tools needed. You should be able to put them in by hand.

    They are a slip fit.

Anti Seize any metal to metal surfaces to help disassembly down the road.

You can also call Icon and get the spacers from them, you will need 2 sets for both shocks.
