Just picked up a 2002 Tacoma crew cab TRD Prerunner

Hello, Tacoma World

Just picked up this 2002 Tacoma got a great deal on it in a non running condition. My daughter is going to school to be a conservation biologist and loves to camp, we just got hooked on the Overlander trucks and started looking for a old 4-runner but stumbled on to this Tacoma which in the end will be a better vehicle for her. This truck has been a work truck for 295,00 of its life so the plan is to go through the truck mechanically and possibly convert it to a 4X4. The next 295,00 the truck will be on vacation as she plans to do a lot of camping with it. I enjoy working on vehicle and fabricating so this should be a fun project. I know very little about these trucks and look forward to getting advise from every one in the Tacoma world. Drug it home last weekend on the trailer and luckily it just needed a starter so it running now.

Now now it's not polite to welcome somebody to Tacoma world and then ask them to piss on command

 

It's had a hard life but looking to build a mechanically strong truck not so worried about all the dents just more character. The big plus is the frame is in great shape no rust.
