Ha. Yep, that's the one. Saw him parked at Parmer/ Mopac the other day, probably eating at the Sushi Junai 2. Sweet truck.

 

He's a cool dude. Always doing something to his truck also

 

I gotta make it out and meet up one of these days. I live like 2 minutes from the Oasis, so maybe Cars/ Coffee. Life just tends to get in the way.

Yeah, got it off 290. So far it's been real reliable, there's just a funky issue with the ignition switch that has prevented it from starting once.

 

Dang it man, hows the aftermarket parts market for that baby?

 

Crawler parts: good. Stock replacement parts: bad.

Know the feeling. Just went through that on my pre-Tacoma last week. I seriously wanted to set it on fire after the 2nd time it had me walking in 1 week. Way too hot for that shit. She's all better now after a new starter.

 

The first car I drove was a '78 Corolla. Helped my dad replace 3 starters on that sucker. You had to drop the exhaust manifold to get to it.






That's where I learned to effectively curse.

 

Hilarious. I had a '79 Supra which was even worse. Not a lot of room under the hood of that thing with the 6 cylinder but it was fun to drive.

22r Trucks are exactly the opposite of that. It took me 20 minutes to replace a starter and no jack needed.

I'm in until after Mason; can't devote the whole day, especially since the last stop is a slog from the shanty here in south Dallas....

 

On the Loop are y'all driving down to the "Start point" on the map, doing the loop, and then ending in the same spot?
