    This is the harness. It's really just the diagram, with the grounds soldered and shrink wrapped, the two on the TR7 connected to a single 16AWG wire. I zip tied the 3 wires on the TR7 not needed together, and then wire loomed it to keep it nice and clean. It dropped behind the dash no problem and shouldn't move around. No rattling while driving.

    Also, getting the cig lighter plug out, just pull, it's not got a clip..but it's in a wierd spot and kinda hard to pull.2017-06-27 18.01.36.jpg

    are the wires on the ECT and cig lighter connector exposed or did you have to cut into a harness covering?

    There's a mesh-like loom with a piece of electrical tape. Just gently cut or remove the tape and you can peel it back and acces the wires.

    To those interested in doing this, even in light of the OV Tune, incoming video showing how easy this really is. Parts, maybe $25? 100% reversible. Not to knock the OV Tune, as I'm sure it's going to be nice, but this is still a cheap and dirty way to get this done on a budget and help those who aren't running stock tires and lifts any more.

    I think this mod will even be icing on the cake for the OVTune. He mentioned that tuning in ECT Mode yeilded better results.
    And yeah, this is a cake install. You can have it all wired up ready to go, and the install literally requires no tools. Just pull all the panels off and tap the wires.

    Great video @fajitas21 !
    It's really that simple.
    Another tip: if you can't unplug the ECT, Just reach back and push it out through the front. Now you can hold the button in your hand and unplug/tap/etc

    Just to clarify, the relay is not powering anything on the ECT wires . All it is doing is "connecting the circuit" when the TR7 tells it to. Basically mimicking the user pushing the button.

    And finally, it's
    ME
    SO
    JDM

    JDM as in Japanese domestic market.
    If you say it fast.. it sounds like you are from there lol.

    I looked into it, and I'm sure the answer is yes, but here's why I just went lazy and copied @mesojdm:
    It was proven.

    So, keeping in mind you need a device to just pulse, not delay, then stay on, I say figure it out and share with the group. We would all appreciate a simpler version of this, but if you're willing to solder or crimp a few wires and hide the bulky harness behind your dash, this is pretty easy and cheap.

    Keep us updated if you try that item there.

    That might work, here's what it says on the description page:
    Working modes selection: after power on, long press K1 for 2s, later into the selection of modes: P1~4; K2 to enter the mode.
    P-1: Monostable trigger delay, a signal to trigger relay, time is up, the relay disconnect;
    P-2: A signal trigger and countdown begins, T1 seconds after, the relay open T2 seconds, then close;
    P-3: Open T1 seconds, disconnect T2 seconds, infinite loop. Users can set the relay time T1 and T2;
    P-4: The relay opens when a signal triggers, when the trigger signal disappears, digital countdown begins, and the relay closes when the time is up.

    @kahanabob,
    Sorry I took so long to respond - No wires cut at all. I used Posi-Taps (all I ever use now) for any connections to factory wiring. If necessary, these can be removed in just a few seconds and you can't even tell they were ever there.

    Check 'em out here: http://www.posi-products.com/index.html

    Nope sorry. Mine has been working perfect I haven't even thought about looking for an OEM style connector. I prob won't either. It's only 2 wires to tap(not cut) so really easy to install or remove if needed.
