Just picked up my new 2017 TRD Off-Road. Traded my 2014 Jeep Wrangler in. I owned a 2007 tacoma a few years back and it has been the only car I ever regretted getting rid of. Back in the tacoma life.

Oh ok, yea high dollar Leer shell for sure came with all the accessories I need. I ended up paying $35,400 with taxes included. I tried to offer a lower price but they wouldn't budge because of that shell already installed, but previously I had been talking to salesman at Scott Crump dealership in Jasper and he was trying to sell me an 17' SR5 QS 4x4. Already lifted with god awful rockstar wheels the same day I went up to Huntsville he finally got off my back when I sent him a pic of that truck an hour later. lol

I had the 1st Gen Rock stars on my 1st Tacoma. To be clear they were a completely different rim than the ones Toyota dealerships are putting on trucks. They looked allot better than the tired long in the tooth everyone with a 2nd gen TRD sport has them OEM rims.

I'm sure they were, but I'm talking Rock Star in general too much flash in my opinion. I don't want to spend an hour on cleaning out dirt out of all those cracks. They're just to gaudy for me, I like simplicity and not have to worry if someone is going to steal my wheel cap one day. Same goes for Fuel and other brands like them.

New 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Had a 2002 SR5 4*4 that I traded in earlier and later realized that I really missed that truck. First time visit and post, so I will read through threads and see what I have to learn, etc. I welcome any tips for a Tacoma returning newbie. Thanks.

The new Tacoma is white (after a black, always dust covered suv experience) 4 door cab with the 6 foot bed. Lovely! I do have a newbie question to direct to.... I have an Undercover ultra-flex lid and wish to install D-rings for tie downs on the cleat bolts that anchor the cover (the flex uses the taco rail for attachment). Where would I best direct this question? Thanks for any help. Oh, love the truck, so far!

Just picked up my 2017 TRD OR "PreRunner" last weekend. Just got the windows tinted and detailed it myself! Haven't had one since my 1998 TRD that I absolutely ruined as a silly adolescent. This beast will get the care and love it deserves!!!

As for what you did to your 98 Tacoma, I did the same thing to my 95 4.0 4x4 Ranger and I was a grown ass man when I did it lol

The reason I asked was because on the 4x4 you have to be in 4low to use it.

2017 Inferno TRD Off Road DCSB 4X4 Manual Tranny
After trolling here for months, doing all my research, drooling over pics, videos and comments...I picked up my first Taco yesterday. New 2017 Off Road DCSB 4x4 manual tranny with towing package. Inferno with the orange stitching interior.
Bid it out to many dealers, one 90 miles away found what I wanted at the best price.
Got lots of help here in every phase of my decision...thanks to all. Saw lots of negative comments too, and though they do get tiresome...they occasionally helped too.
This is my 4th new Toyota overall...from a Corolla to a Sienna, but first Taco. All previous Toyotas gave us at least 200,000 trouble free miles. I have had Jeep CJ5 and Jeep Comanche Trucks in the past as well...and now that the kids are outta house and school, was time for me to get back to my 4x4 and truck roots.

you take that old white truck and paint it light blue and you got the 1st vehicle I ever owned. Take your new one put the auto in it, and you got the one I bought about 3 weeks ago.

So I've also been lurking and getting great ideas on the type of Taco I wanna build, so last week I pulled the trigger here in San Diego CA, on a
2017 SR5 4x4 Double Cab Short Bed bone base model $31,200
I've tinted the windows, rised it 2 1/4", got Pro Comp 32 rims 16x8
    with Mickey Thompson ATPZ3
285/75R16's and a Leer 100R shell. All the after market accessories came out to $4200,
    so $35,400 into my Taco.

Here it is waiting for rims & tires after I installed the Bilstein 5100 front and rear

    IMG_7197.jpg
    IMG_7193.jpg

    Then Leer 100R Shell

This'll do for a while, now for some OR'n and camping.

I owned a 1998 Camry for years as my first car and loved it so I knew that I wanted to stick with Toyota. I looked around at Tundras a lot but kept coming back to look at the Tacomas. I got my baby On July 1st of this year with only 4 miles on her. 2017 SR5 Magnetic Grey. It didn't have any of the bells and whistles that I'm seeing a lot of you guys got yours with. Working on getting it upgraded. I feel like I want too much too fast lol. She is my pride and joy and makes me feel excited to drive her around.
