Fun times at the car wash - Watch your bed mat

So I usually handwash all of my vehicles, but in a pinch I'll use the local Self-Service Touchless Wash near work.

Pulled in this morning, checking emails as the wash cycle progressed. Wow....is this LOUD, much louder than my cars when getting washed... thin sheet metal of the Access Cab? Anyway, the excitement started as the forced-air drying cycle got going. As the blowers passed over, the sound changed and I looked back at the bed... my OEM bed liner was levitating like Aladdin's magic carpet, about 2-3 feet off the bed. And then it curled around and slapped into itself, and then into the back window of the cab.

I threw it in gear and hauled ass out of the bay before it flew out completely, then endured the laughs of some dude vacuuming his Honda as I fitted the mat back in place.

 

What..?! the bed mat is quite heavy.. wouldn't expect mine to move either.

 

Yup!

I have been thru the same situation before.
