First, I want to commend everyone for how this thread has somehow (miraculously?) survived by not getting locked or nuked. Several threads of this kind have popped up in the past, and very few (if any) exist today. Several members perished (but will not be missed).

I have recently had the misfortune to drive the 2017 Corolla because my truck has been incarcerated by the rear-diff warranty police. One thing I noticed about that little skateboard of a car is that I can fit in the back seat of it...but I can't in my Tacoma. Seriously? I can fit a 6' tall adult in a COROLLA but not a Tacoma? The world is topsy-turvy. Other than that, I love this truck more than any other vehicle I've ever owned...and I once had a close personal (but platonic) relationship with a '79 Oldsmobile Toronado.

In summation: congrats for making 7 pages without devolving into complete anarchy, and is 3 more inches in the back seat of the double cab too much to ask?

Thank you very much for your consideration.

I agree! Trying to reverse a loaded trailer is difficult without riding the clutch, see my picture. I struggled to back this trailer with 2 yards of 50/50 mix. For 99% of my driving, I don;t need it, but to back up heavier loads, I wish reverse had more guts.

EDIT: On a incline, this was on a small incline.

All the plastic in this truck scratches so easily! Being black make the scratches pop!

Better transmission that doesn't downshift two gears on the slightest inclines just to keep up with the traffic flow

So why is it down shifting frequently?

Exactly! That is reason high gears need to have little lower ratio. So it can hold on to gear little longer. So it doesn't want to down shifting as much.

Ironically, I want mine lowered. Again, the powered seats argument.

Steering wheel that telescopes more. I have to have my chair too far forward to reach the steering wheel comfortably. If I don't have my chair forward enough, my back turns into the letter C, because I have to bend so far forward. Because my seat is so far forward, my knees hit the steering column and my keys jingle jangle on my damn knees. I'm a pretty average height at 5'11 and I feel like this truck is designed for someone who is 4'6. Transmission doesn't bother me as much as keys jingle jangling on my knee.

One thing I've noticed is when you unlatch seat belt it slaps inside of truck where returns to its retrieved position. 2nd did same thing should be an easy fix.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Seems like everything under the truck rusts. Brake drums, frame, brackets, oil splash guard, etc. Use some better quality metal and paint/prep. My 2004 honda has zero rust underneath, and I should not have rust on a FL car that has never seen salt etc, especially in just a year.

Seriously I was so annoyed whenever I found out that is not a standard option. My previous base line 2009 F-150 XLT had power seats and it was only $30K, like what?

I drive on the beach if FL at least once a month and I don't see any rust on my truck. Mine is a year old as well. I've looked all under the truck and saw no issues.

Exactly that why I suggested lower gear so it would not have to down shift to a lower ratio to build rpms. Sixth is .58 gearing a lower ratio of .70 in 6th would be much better.
