I can't say for certain that this rebate is a nationwide one. I am in the Mid-Atlantic Region. I was told it was a July 4th promotion by Toyota. I will say that it is the end of the month, and the quarter - so it makes sense for them to tighten up their sales figures with some cash on the hood. However, the time frame is small, as dealers are closed Sunday and Tuesday for the 4th. That only gives people six days to take advantage of the promotion. I have a deposit on one, and am picking it up tomorrow in PA - barring a case of cold feet.

Threaten to return it. Most places have 3-7 day return policies

Unsure, I'd call a dealer that you know to be reputable and ask.

    It's not that simple.

If it's the end of the month, and the sales person hasn't made quota, and you are looking at a vehicle they have in stock on their lot, they will haggle.

Dealers get a lot of end of month quota based incentives from Toyota corp. It's a huge deal to them. If they haven't met quota that month they will be desperate for a sale.

Dealers pay interest on that new unsold vehicle sitting on their lot. That's more incentive to haggle if you pick a vehicle they have in stock already.

So say it's the end of the month. You see a 2017 TRD OR that is exactly what you want on the lot. Tell the Salesperson you really wanted it in another color (lie), but you might be willing to deal for that one they have in stock today. If that salesperson hasn't made their monthly quota you can bet your ass they will make a deal.

The problem is that Toyota reimburses the dealer the rebate, so all your paperwork would need to be unwound to apply the discount within the tight time frame. It would be akin to returning and re-buying the truck, which could be a paperwork and motor vehicle agency nightmare. The dealer would probably not do it, and you'd end up pissed. Enjoy your truck. As James Comey said at his Senate hearing, "It wasn't a hill worth dying on..."

This is also the end of the quarter right? So it's an even better time to buy. End of month + end of quarter incentives. Depending on where the dealership sits with it's incentives and goals they might take a loss on a vehicle that would bump them over their units sold goal number and get a fat paycheck for their troubles.

Think of it this way: if I said, sell 100 cars this month and I'll give you a $100k bonus. On day 29 you are sitting at 97 units sold. You have a buyers on the hook but they want prices that would cause you to lose $2k a vehicle. The dealership is going to say "hell yeah! Sell em at a loss we'll get $100k ! " They'd "lose " $6k and make $100k

Absolutely agree with you. End of the quarter. Who knows what kind of bonuses go on behind the scenes that the public is not privy to. I will say this, the dealers I have contacted were pretty aggressive with their internet quotes. Usually they are tight-lipped, and discount Tacomas in very small increments.

My dealer isn't saying this is running in CA. Has anyone found otherwise? Yes this website and zip would be helpful.

I contacted one of the dealers I was emailing with, he said that there is nothing for a Tacoma, at least not in Northern New Jersey. I can't find anything from my phone, NY ip

It's regional. go to the toyota site and edit your zip to see the incentives. I tried so cal which is bust, then Boston MA, but Pittsburg PA showed the rebate.

Apparently it's a regional offer, which sucks.
Here is a picture of the offer. I'm shopping the Mid-Atlantic Region.
The fine print states "Varies by region. See dealer for details."
