This is a 2001 Tacoma 4x4 SR5 V6 Xcab 5 spd, and last week driving at night, started the truck, no brights.

So far, I've replaced 2 headlight bulbs, the two 10 amp fuses in the under hood panel, the headlight relay, and the headlight switch on the column

Low beams are fine, but no brights. All other lights are functional

Is there any other obvious device/fuse/relay that might be causing this?

If not, I guess it's wiriing issue which is worst case, and I'll have to try and chase it down with a multi-meter and the diagram.

    Thank you

IIRC there are a couple relays for the lights

Ok, I'll check to see if there is a 2nd relay, it's not obvious where that might be. Thank you

Do you have factory DRL or not. This is the first important question as headlight circuit with DRL and without are completely different.

No, this truck has no DRL. I don't have time to get the wiring diagram out til Saturday, too much work going on, but will post
updates. Thank you for the info

Having replaced all those parts now not only do you have the original problem .

What else might might you have added into the mix

All those parts you replaced had failed??

Comes down to a poor connection at one or all of the plugs

    The head light switch itself

    Physical damage to the wires

Some corrosion one can`t see with the naked eye .

The meter probes push through making a good connection but when plugged together it does not work enough to frustrate one quite a lot
