Access to dash below Hazard Lights switch

Does anyone know how to access the space behind the panel that the Hazard Light switch is mounted to?
I'd like to put a magnet underneath my hazard light switch... and mount a magnet there. THEN I'll mount my magnetic phone mount to THAT ... the 3M tape I've been using isn't holding ... and I don't want to do the bolt mount option to the A Frame that people have done (although it's cool... I like my phone on the right of my steering wheel... not the left)
This is a 2000 XtraCab.
