Just did the 30K mile spark plug change at 30,385 miles.

    20170629_130458.jpg

Here are the old plugs placed in cylinder order. Top row is front cylinders. Bottom row is rear cylinders. As common NGK on driver side and Denso on passenger.

    Cylinder order for reference:

Replaced with Denso Iridium TT IKH20TT 4704.

I will say this. Changing the plugs on a Tacoma is way, way more of a pain in the ass than it needs to be.

Thanks for guiding us through the message.

I wasn't sure where you were going with that.

Doesn't work with the comma though.

The comma denotes a pause. Thus, "But....... plugs!" This forces the emphasis on the word "plugs". To make it work you need to place the emphasis on the "but" portion.

Have I ever told you that grammar turns me on a bit? What's your stance on Oxford commas?

I don't think I'm supposed to turn on other women... lol

As for Oxford commas I do have a tendency to utilize them. However, I recall being taught in English classes not to use them. They can certainly prevent confusion though in some cases! Obviously it comes down to preference. Using an Oxford comma or not can both be technically correct so long as the reader understands the writer's intent.

Although, I think more time should be spent on more immediate typographical errors in our society such as the misuse of the words "there" and "their". Don't get me started on the lack of punctuation between sentences, those who do not capitalize the first word in every sentence, failing to capitalize proper nouns, spelling errors, and the heavy use of acronyms that require the reader to visit www.urbandictionary.com.

EDIT: I'll admit I'm not the best when it comes to grammar and mechanics. I very commonly was critiqued by English teachers for over utilizing the comma, for example.

Oh, I never said you were turning me on. It's the grammar, I assure you. I'm leaving you to Lisa.

And yes, there is not an official ruling on Oxford commas, but I am always pro. When I was in school, they were taught as being correct, but a few years later they were not. I still remain passionate.

Also, I believe that period belongs inside that quotation mark. Also technically not incorrect, but I'm fond of the punctuation within the quotation marks in most cases (but definitely not all).

I flip flop on the period inside the quotation marks. Not sure where I stand. Although, it looks odd outside the quotation mark.

    Always be pro-punctuation-outside-of-quotation-marks.

Except when directly quoting punctuation within a phrase.
