So on my truck, I've been struggling with finding ways to mount my cb. I really didn't want to drill into my new truck, and I've finally found a way of keeping the cb in place well without having to drill holes into my brand new truck. I thought this might be able to give some people some ideas as I know there are a lot of other people having the same dilemma. Originally I had done something that I thought with a great idea, I mounted the cb with velcro. That worked really well, for a few days anyways. The velcro's adhesive melted in the hot summer sun and my cb fell on the floor. I originally had it mounted like it is in the first picture.

After this fell, I decided that I still didn't want to drill into my truck, but I didn't see a solution on the market that I liked that would allow the cb to be mounted where I wanted it. Because I'm stubborn and still didn't want to drill, I decided that I was going to make my own mount. I used CAD to 3d print myself a holster that held itself under the dash with the trim, and it holds its weight very well. There is no slipping whatsoever. I drew the mount up on OnShape and had it printed by a company in NC. It was printed in PETG plastic, so it is durable and fairly warp resistant.

(I should mention my truck's name is Apollo)

I've included some of the development pictures on Onshape, I made a speaker hole and a hole for the coax and power wires to run through.

The mount and the mount installed in the truck are at the end.

Dang, way to go! So it just sits on the bottom of the center console lip? Mainly, it's not bolted to anything?

Yeah, no bolts at all. That was why I made it. The piece on the back sits under the trim and supports the weight, I had the idea originally when I ran the wires to the first setup

Great idea I had the same issue with mine so I ended up sticking mine in the center console.
But I have to ask how did you get the plastic mold made?

There's a company called 3d hubs that lets you connect to people with 3d printers, you pay them to print your designs and they ship it to you. If these were ever sold I'd get a more professional printer and material, but this one was just a prototype and there's one sizing on it that needed to be 1/8 of an inch smaller that I corrected with a cotton ball. The next models would have that fixed. I don't currently have the means to produce these commercially right now however as I don't have a printer
