It can be ran two ways, one using the waterport as the source of water into the pump and out with pressure to sprayer, or watersource into the pump into the waterport out to the sprayer

Also to save you some money, you dont need to get that kit and drill it etc, all you need to do is get a small water pump like this, and attach it to the waterport. It will suck water out and out to your hose, just plug it into your bed outlet. Or vise versa water into the tank. You would just want a cutoff reg or something that will cut power to pump when its at 50-60 psi such as a well pressure switch.

I wish I wasn't on vacation! Lol so much to think about when I get home! I'm going to run with this idea for now and I should be able to run my own wiring harness to the battery with a different style switch. I prefer one with a flip cover like this: download.jpg

Then just put on a waterproof Boot:

    314J6eWztiL._SY400_.jpg

Seeing as how I know some gear will shift and the pump will be kicked on and end up burning out

EDIT: On second thought I will most likely mount the switch inside the cubby with the pump since I hate the idea of drilling holes in a composite box... Just WAITING for it to stress crack.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is the cubby replaceable by itself? I'm not with my truck at the moment

Ues the cubbys are replaceable, also the same as the 2nd gens so its not a bad idea to pick one up at a scrap yard.

Also, speaking of onboard air.... Anyone know if onboard air setups can be switch to suck as well? I use heavy vacuum bags for camp clothing and would like the option to switch to suction in order to reduce the amount of space things take up in the cab. Especially if I plan on switching over to an air mattress for the RTT (just have to find one that's super durable)

If u get a 12v air mattress pump one end will suck air to fill the mattress, just swap which end goes where.
For example in the pic i just posted the side outlet fills the mattress, the top inlet sucks air from the matttess.

Did you try it with a regulator? Or are you talking about putting a 12v water pump on it?

I have one of those, I just want to know if a 12v air compressor system can be switched to suck

I was talking to @StreetTiresJay, and I got curious. I filled up the port via garden hose, stuck a cheap pressure gauge on the shraeder valve and turns out my hose only fills to 34 ish psi. Not sure if it'll vary from different cities. Gave it a shot of air from my compressor and jumped to 48.5 psi, so I'll give it a try when I go out next weekend

Theoretically yes, is it a good idea though? Probably not. There are hose length restrictions on the intake lines for ARB compressors exceed those and it may be possible to damage the compressor. Not to mention it would be abysmally slow, the CFM for the single stage is pretty low, dual would be 2x faster.
