Sweet dude, I will say I ordered that cigarette lighter power originally, but it ended up looking weird. I ran straight to the battery.

 

One of my buddies used to order from Cabela's a lot, he always had cool shit. I think he even bought his cast iron skillets there too.

 

If I may give a few more tips:

• Start your own *FEELER* thread outside of Chad's thread, because you'll probably get a lot more traction if you're serious about cranking these out.
• The only downside I can see to this bracket is security. If someone breaks your window, it will be that much easier to rip your radio out of the vehicle.

I'm not trying to knock your design, but as an engineer, I look for how things can fail in order to improve them. Just wanted to give some feedback that others may or may not mention to you.

I ended up wiring it straight to the battery as well. You'll get less interference that way.

But has he been to the physical store??? Has he walked under the majestic waterfall and giant fish tank?

 

Thanks for the input, if someone was going to go through the trouble of breaking open your window though I'm not really sure they'd care too much about a couple of screws , plus the wiring for the power will hold the radio like a chain for anyone who runs power to the battery (unless they brought some wire cutters)
