Has anybody else snatched up a copy of the new Doom? I was a little hesitant at first because I haven't been a fan of the more recent Doom games. This new one is something else though!

    Cool

Haven't played doom since my old 90s quake days.

Just picked up Doom for PS4 through the Amazon Prime Day deal ($29). Glad to hear good reviews. Can't wait to start the carnage!

Got a good hour and a half of gameplay under my belt last night. First impressions are great. The graphics kick ass. I like the story but they don't get too detailed about it. Its pretty difficult (on middle setting). Music/sounds are scary, actually makes me nervous exploring new areas since you don't know whats around the corner but can hear something.

Multiplayer is fun but I think enemies are too hard to kill. I'll literally be shooting someone point blank with a chaingun and they won't die. Maybe i'm used to the COD multiplayer too much. Maps are big.

Overall cool game, can't wait to get deeper into the campaign.

Slowly making my way through the campaign. Never gets dull. I get wrapped up in the short play COD3 matches and sometimes forget to play Doom but every time i put it back in and play i don't want to stop.

Doom was an amazing game and did a hell of a job capturing that old Doom feel while still making it feel fresh. And the damn soundtrack is so damn hype.
