downshifting question

    avs rain guards,,,tyger auto tubesteps... stealth SR8's.265/70/17,ridge grapplers..shiftsense pro...
    so im in ect S4 i come to an incline,, transmission shifts down, still sluggish, i click it down by myself to S3, and it shifts down to where it should be,, its like it only downshifted halfway between S4 and S3,,

    That's cause when you thought it shifted, it didn't. What you felt was the torque converter unlocking to give you a little more torque in s4
