I'd say buy it but sell your Rav 4 private party. Dealers are screwing us on trade in.

As far as the Tacoma, I held out for a double cab long bed with 90k on it. I love it, I holds every thing. My payment is $405 over 60 months at 2.7%. I have spent about a grand on parts in the last month though. Make sure you get the tow package.

You need to be smart with the money if you do this. Sell your Rav 4 yourself and make more off it, and shop around for financing looking at local credit unions.

Ok, here we go. Forget about being upside down. Can't do anything about it. It is what it is. Been there. Your mom-car is never going to be worth as much as it is right now. Wait 3 years to pay it off is still 3 more years of payments. Pay off in 3 and sell PP? Probably only get around what the dealer is offering for trade in right now. Plus you will have to deal with all the idiot low ballers/scammers/sorry no money take payment crowd. So, keep paying for three, sell it and most likely pop another 5 year loan (just a guess as they are most common) means you are looking at 8 more years of payments in the forseeable future.

Or..... Take the deal on the Tacoma and be done in 6. It looks like a nice rig and that is a very fair price. Get them to drop the $500.00 as that's not going to move the needle anyways and I would rather have that skrillage in my pocket to spend on shit for my truck! AND, see if they will swap out those gawd awful wheels. Gen 3 wheels on a gen 2 look pretty sick.

    Anyways, just my take.

I have been in the car biz for 18 years...you can't go wrong with a Tacoma. They hold their value. Ditch the RAV4...lease the TACO for 4 years and get out in 3...start fresh with a new taco in 3 years,,,lease or purchase won't matter because they hold their value. Sell more cars, make more money. There is no shortage of customers, just a shortage of hard workers. DO IT already!!!

    Too few to list.
You're obviously not happy with the Rav4 so if you can afford the $410 and it will make you happy, I say go for it. Like someone else said, can't do anything about being upside down unless you're putting a down payment big enough to get out of it. For an extra $40 bucks a month, I'd personally do it.

I say go with the Taco. Pay extra each month. If you decide you "need" a mod, save up double the cash. Buy the mod and use the other half toward the principle.
