I am looking at a truck cap for my 2006 reg cab tacoma. Found one on cl and the guy said it came off of a 2008 reg cab. He said the dimensions on the cap are 60x75. Will this fit. When I measure my bed it measures 65x76 to the outside of the bed. Just wondering if this cap is for a first gen.

if withing the 2005-2011 range and both are reg cabs, then yes, it will fit. he may be mis-measuring or doing it from the insides vs the outside.

Probably. The first gen ones are narrower. When you're looking for caps, the RC ones are different than AC/DC because the shape of the cab. The regular cab has a flat rear whereas the AC/DC is curved. Where are you located? There's a cheap RC cap near me.

    A thing or two...
Ask the seller if he has pictures of it installed on the truck so you can see fitment. Also, ask the seller where he measured. He might have measured around the top of the shell or around the bottom inside or around the inside of the bed. There's not telling without asking them. We're not psychics or mind readers.

DCLB, AC, and RC are all the same bed. As @EatSleepTacos said just the front profile changes because of the cab differences.

Ok. Thanks. I was aware of the fitmint on the reg cab vs the ac cabs. I tried to talk to this guy on the phone but he just didn't seem to even know what yr of truck it came off of.
