    Yep. Only an idiot would put spacers / blocks on a truck.

    Ran out of shock travel before suspension articulation :(

    I know whose it is but they're being humble about it and know the spacer lift caused it.

    Ouch..
    Serious question.... as I am not a suspension engineer;;
    I know this was caused from not enough travel in the shock. But would it most likely be from jumping the truck fast and bottoming out, or just going slow over large/uneven terrain and letting the suspension articulate? Or both?

    Its likely from enough force which could be speed induced and/or enough compression that the shock assembly couldnt handle the increase in travel anymore and the load had to go somewhere (hehe thats what she said).

    If they'd do more research and spend some money on their 30-40k truck, they won't suffer the damage from a $100 spacer lift

    Honestly it makes me cringe thinking about putting hockey pucks on a truck and the amount of stress that's gonna go through and you see the results of it

    Well yeah......but lifts and bigger tires are cool as fuck, it doesn't matter how "badass" your truck is, just as long as it looks "badass". #teamshittypartsforlooks

    :lalala:I assure you I'm not an idiot, I only wanted to test. Though after 4K miles, I am getting tired of them. As long as you keep it 2.5in or below in the front, just leveling it out with spacers, 1.5in or less in the rear, and purchasing extended bumpstops, a spacer kit should work well for someone wanting a better look with bigger tires. Unfourtunatly all I could find at the time was 3in/2in kit, everything in the front has over extended, the shocks are too short in the rear and create an ok ride. I have an entirely new setup ready for me, just waiting on a couple other things. I am not going to sell the spacer kit either because I don't want others to go through the pain :hattip:

    This is only the result of not extending the bumpstops and using the vehicle hard off-road. For someone who drives on road regularly and rairly goes off-road for any reason, a resonable 2in/1in spacer kit is perfectly fine to run.

    That's a grenade all ready to explode, very dangerous!
    Springs are designed to move up & down, not to be twisted, I've seen them explode and nearly miss killing or seriously injuring the person working on them.

    Stay safe,

    Im gonna start taking pictures of broken coil overs, everything can break. Yes strut spacers aren't that durable but for most people its all they need.
