About 22 hours. First day was Camano Island to Wells, NV - about 12 hours with just gas stops. Next day was 10 hours.

Worst time to find em is when you wake up in the middle of the night to a sharp pain and then it feels like your chest is on fire, then you find one crawling out from under your sheets.

But anyway, yeah. Gallagher is clear all the way to the tippy top. That section before the lake is a little wet/muddy, but the rest is pretty similar to years past. A bit more eroded.

Scorpions are cool. I've found scorpions in E. Washington. The furthest West was on the East shore of the Columbia River at Vantage. Look under rocks.

Not sure if anyone has run into this before but I'd you haven't, get a load of this:

Met up with my girlfriends family who RV camps up at fort warden, parked behind their tiny RV, replacing their tow car. Popped up my roof top tent and was informed by the ranger that a roof top tent classifies as a second trailer/RV and would have to rent a second spot if I wanted to use it (while mounted to my truck)... He was persistent and was ready to write me a ticket if I wouldn't take it down.

I don't know where the hell they draw the line on this rule, but he insured me it was a rule and that's the way it had to be. Not sure if any of you have run into this before at state parks but it pissed our camping group off a fair amount. We're going to write to an appropriate authority and try and get this looked at or at least let someone see my frustrations.

We ended up popping a standard tent on the ground and slept in that. Next project is quick disconnects to shove it up their... I mean, avoid this problem in the future.
