And I love it. Stepped up from a 1999 regular cab ford RANGER MT. It did me well for a few years, but it was time to move on. I've managed to tow 250 miles with a motorcycle on a trailer, some odds and ends with it. Felt fine (for a v6) considering I've only towed with a 2001 dodge 2500 with an I6. Only mod I have been able to do is the A.C. drain. Took it to my dad's place this past weekend up hwy 2 at an average of a 6-7% grade. Trans was starting to hunt a little so I slapped her into sport and had no issues. Granted the power band is significantly higher than that of the dodge (obviously) and I went with the AT knowing it's short comings. That being said, I let my dad take my truck down some Forrest roads in the Stevens pass area. He thought it did great! 2x 4xh and 4xl he even mentioned it had some good power at points. Never managed to engage the locker ( not THAT hard of a Forrest road.) Now that being said only 2700 miles in. All in all it was a 3 hour trip each way averaged low 20's mpg (21 to 23) didn't have hunting issues after sport mode and didn't have to push past 4krpm. We'll see in the future but so far so good.

Get a shift sense pro and it will take care of all the shifting issues..

 I'm at 2,500 miles on mine and love it too! No issues worth taking to the dealer. I have done some "lite" mods and straightened up my crooked bed but no complaints.:mudding::)

Honestly I was looking at them if I was going to have more issues with hunting (where I live can get hilly and if I go a little further pretty mountainous) but so far so good

I am about 3300 miles in and the only issue is the Howling Rear, my best tank of gas was a little over 22 MPGs.

Must live in the same general area I do, Im in DT Snohomish. Have a Quicksand DCSB with trd pro grill, 3200 miles on my truck and love it so far. Trans does hunt a little in hilly areas but probably because its always trying to be in a high gear when it can for good MPG's. If im in an area where its hilly or going up a steep incline I just hit the ect button and its fine. Consistently getting 20-22mpg so far.

Enjoy your truck. Everyone says to put in the shift sense but just give it till 10k. Mine smoothed out by the first service and gets great mpg. Better with a light tonneau cover.
