2006 Tacoma 2.7 regular cab. Fuel gauge works when I fill my truck up but won't register anything under half a tank. Replaced sending unit and gauge does the same exact thing. Anyone know what's going on? Fuel gauge is accurate from full down to half a tank. Then it doesn't move.

Any chance the sending unit (float) is getting bound on something?

I'm thinking the float is getting stuck.

Sending unit may be hanging on something in the tank. Pull the bed off and pop off the fuel pump lock ring and check it out.
